Definition:
A computer system, often with a relational database at its core, which collects, stores, and analyses animal data relating to many farms. These may be specific to certain services, for example registrations, movements, milk recording, Herd Book, artificial insemination, genetic evaluations (national or international), or they may cover multiple services for an entire industry within a defined geographic region.
