Measurement uncertainty

Definition:
related to overall accuracy of the method, it expresses the range of occurrence of a result through its standard deviation (standard uncertainty) and a coverage factor k for a given probability (usually k=2 for a 95% probability). It is presumed that the resulting error is normally distributed.
