Inter-event or inter-cycle period for rumination

Abbreviation:

Definition:

The period that starts when the bolus is swallowed and ends when the next bolus is regurgitated (Nørgaaard, 2003; Schirmann et al 2009). May be between 3 and 8 seconds (Rutter, 2000; Nørgaard, 2003).
